Club Manager - Dalal Abou-Eid

The club management and staff can be reached by phone Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Manager can also be reached by email at: manager@ottawacurlingclub.com

The Manager of the OCC is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Club. The Manager reports to the Board of Directors, both directly and through its Management Committee. The Board of Directors, comprised of eight elected Club members, sets policy and provides operational oversight and overall business management.

Key duties include:

• acting as Secretary of the Ottawa Curling Club;
• collection of membership fees and maintenance of membership rolls;
• preparation and custody of financial records (currently using QuickBooks computerized accounting system);
• hiring and oversight of staff;
• custody of assorted contracts (e.g. icemaker, cleaner, plant maintenance);
• upkeep of club facilities;
• ice rentals and coordination of ice scheduling;
• implementation of Board policy; and
• generally any other duties required in furtherance of the day-to-day operation of the OCC.

Ice Technician - Dwayne Lowe

Dwayne is a Level III Ice Technician. has grown to participating in ice making at provincial and national levels. We believe he will be a great asset to the Ottawa Curling Club.
